Schedule for the Week of February 13-17th

It was great to catch up with some families at conferences last Thursday night. I look forward meeting with the rest of you in the coming week!

SPECIALS: (February 13-17)

Monday:  Media/P.E. (Day 2)
Tuesday:   Art/Music (Day 3) - Valentine's Party 2:00pm - 3:15pm
Wednesday: P.E./Media (Day 4) - 100th Day of Kindergarten! 
Thursday:  Music/Art (Day 5) Parent/Teacher Conferences 4-8pm - Book Fair Open!
Friday:  No School - Parent/Teacher Conferences 8am-Noon

MEDIA (Library): check out every Day 6/PLEASE return books every Day 5!

Other News::
  • Valentines Day Party on Tuesday, February 14th 2:00-3:15pm (letter was sent home to all families last Friday)
    • Send in homemade Valentines box/bag--if time is an issue, email me and your child can decorate a bag at school
    • Treats can be sent in, but I will send them all home and let parents decided who can eat what
    • Please only have your child write From "your child's name," as this will make passing out Valentines much easier
    • We have 17 students in the class
  • 100th Day of Kindergarten is coming up on Wed. February 15th. Please have your child bring in their bag of 100 items by this day.

Language Arts Home Practice Lesson 6.1 (Will come home in Friday Folders. We send home the practice sheets after we have worked on the content in class.) THANK YOU to all the families who have been working on these homework sheets and reading with your child! 
  • PLEASE work on this with your child 2-3 times a week for at least 10 minutes. We need YOU as a partner in helping your child become fluent with letter recognition, sound, and sight words. Thanks!
  • Don't forget to utilize Raz Kids (reading), Reading Eggs (phonics/reading) and Dream Box (math) at home as well!
