Hello!
We had a WONDERFUL Read-A-Thon on Friday - the kids really enjoyed it! I can't wait to find out how much money our school raised for all of their wonderful reading!!

Schedule for the Week of February 18-22

Hello!
We have a short week this week, but it will still be pretty busy! I hope you all were able to enjoy the long weekend! This Friday is our Read-A-Thon and there are many fun reading activities planned for the kindergarten students throughout the day!! Please help your child remember to bring in/return their Read-A-Thon donation packet by Friday. Also, your child can wear comfy clothes on Friday to read in (not pajamas) and they can also bring in a beach towel, sunglasses or sun hat, or all three! In Mrs. Koepp's class we are going to have a beach theme for reading.... the beach is one of my favorite places to read a good book!! :-)  This week we are continuing to work on Lesson 17 in reading and will also move along in math to lesson 4.10 and 4.11.

We have a very busy week ahead of us with many fun things planned! Please remind your student to bring in their bag of 100 items if they have not already done so. They have until Thursday to bring in their Valentine's (we will pass the Valentine's out during our Valentine party!) Also, please have your child bring in one bag of individual pieces of wrapped candy by Thursday, such as Starbursts, mini Muskateers, Twix, etc. - THANK YOU!!

Schedule for the Week of Feb. 4-8

We have an exciting week ahead! Author and Illustrator, Nancy Carlson is visiting our school on Monday. She will be speaking to each grade level - we can't wait to hear how she can tell us how we can become better authors and illustrators!! Thursday is the Imagination Fair and I can't wait to see what our own K-2 students will be displaying for the fair! Thursday will also mark the beginning of our first lesson for Adventures in Art - we are looking forward to learning about some special masterpieces!
