Reading: Lesson 20
  • Phonemic Awareness: Review phoneme isolation, identify, and categorization
  • Letter: Ee
  • High-Frequency Words: we, want

  • Comprehension: Discussing reality/fantasy stories and story structure
  • Literature: Reading What a Treasure! by Jane Hillenbrand and Pet Show! by Ezra Jack Keats
  • Writing: Description of a Thing and continuing to work on word choice
Reading Homework
Guided Readers (I will be reading these with students in groups of 3-5 throughout the week) 
  •  Lesson 20 Red(focuses on recognizing words that start with the letter E)
  • Lesson 20 Blue(includes short sentences that focus on new sight word, we and want. It also focuses on basic CVC words)
  • Lesson 20 Green (includes more complex sentences)

      • Objectives: create story problems (addition and subtraction), solve addition equations; order numbers 1 through 20
