Schedule for the Week of Dec. 2 - 6

Hello and welcome back after a nice long weekend!
I hope you all had a chance to rest and relax before our big three weeks ahead before winter break!! YES! WE - CAN - DO - IT!! ;-)

Below is what the week ahead holds for us. Please note that the Guided Reading books are also attached - these are the books we are practicing in the classroom, but feel free to have your child practice with you at home too!

Reading: Lesson 10 

  • Phonological Awareness: initial sounds in words

  • High-Frequency Word: come
  • Working on drawing conclusions and making inferences
  • Robust Vocabulary: squabble, mischief, uproar, tend, soggy, wobble
  • Writing lists

Lesson 10 Blue: focuses on basic sentences using new sight word, come

Math: Finishing Unit 2, Starting Unit 3 (Teen Numbers and Tens and Ones) on Wednesday

      • Objectives: identify and count shapes
